ABOUT THE HEALTHY WEIGH
The business is owned and operated by Caryn Honig, a registered and licensed dietitian in private practice. Before opening The Healthy Weigh, Caryn worked for five years as the Nutrition and Exercise Coordinator at Texas Children’s Hospital Wellness Center. Caryn specializes in eating disorders and weight management. Caryn is adjunct faculty at University of Houston and also provides lectures and seminars to businesses, hospitals, and schools.
Also part of The Healthy Weigh are Jennifer Lindsay MS RD LD, Michelle Crow RD LD, and Paula Mrowczynski RD LD. Jennifer joined The Healthy Weigh after finishing her master’s degree in nutrition from Texas Women’s University. Jennifer specializes in diabetes, weight management, medical nutrition therapy, and pediatric nutrition. Michelle joined The Healthy Weigh after completing her dietetic internship through the University of Houston and specializes in weight management, eating disorders, sports nutrition, and medical nutrition therapy. Paula is a registered and licensed dietitian at The Healthy Weigh and a Nutrition and Exercise Coordinator at Texas Children’s Hospital. She specializes in weight management, eating disorders, pediatric nutrition, and medical nutrition therapy.
WHAT SERVICES ARE OFFERED?
Nutritional counseling is offered on a one-on-one basis. The sessions include diet analysis, nutrition consultations, menu planning, eating out, special medical needs, and much more. Each plan is developed based on individual needs and goals. There is a weekly eating disorders support group offered at no charge.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU NEED TO COME IN?
Clients come in as often as twice per week or as little as once per month, depending on individual needs. Also offered are package deals for 4-week and 8- week programs, where clients pre-schedule their appointments. The dietitians design a program that meets the needs and goals of each client.
WHO USES THE HEALTHY WEIGH?
Many clients want to learn how to eat a healthy, balanced diet to fit their weight goals. Other clients have special medical needs. Athletes and fitness enthusiasts use The Healthy Weigh to improve their diet and performance. Other clients suffer from eating disorders and desire a normal relationship with food.

The Healthy Weigh is located at 2801 Bammel Lane. From Highway 59, go north on Buffalo Speedway. Turn right at W. Alabama (the second stoplight). Turn left on Bammel (one block past Eastside Street stoplight). The Healthy Weigh is the yellow house at 2801 Bammel Lane.
